All'indomani del terribile attacco terroristico che colpì Londra nel luglio del 2005, una madre (Blethyn) che vive nell'isola britannica di Guernsey si reca nella capitale inglese per mettersi on the trail of her missing daughter. He discovers that the girl has a relationship with a Muslim boy, who was also wanted by his father (Kouyaté) who arrived in the land of Albion from France, has not seen his son since the latter was 6 years old.
